Serving a number of flights across the country, Tulsa International Airport acts as the main gateway to Tulsa as well a door to northeast Oklahoma. The airport handles more than three million passengers a year, transporting them to various cities including Denver, Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Orlando and Salt Lake City.
The airport has a single terminal, equipped with a wide range of passenger facilities. There is an ATM on the first floor in the Arrivals area and other ATMs in the Departures concourse on the second floor. Other facilities include a lost and found property service and a chapel. A hair salon, massage chairs and shoe shine services are also available.
Tulsa International Airport also boasts good shopping. There are a number of shops located in both concourses including many cultural souvenir shops and several newsagents. Some of the most popular shops are the Novel Idea Bookstore, Explore Tulsa and Green Country Marketplace.
Hungry travellers can find a wide range of eateries at the airport. Many restaurants, cafés and bars are scattered throughout the terminal such as Camille's Sidewalk Café, Varsity Sports Bar and Grill, TGI Friday's, Goldie's Patio Grill and Starbucks.
Meeting rooms with business facilities are provided throughout the terminal. Those with laptops can access the internet via the airport's Wi-fi network. However, you will need to buy a usage card from the airport in order to use this service.
Transportation at Tulsa International Airport
The airport is conveniently linked to downtown Tulsa by ground public transport options. Public buses run to the city regularly from Monday to Saturday. Travelling by bus is very popular as it's the cheapest option for getting to the city centre from the airport.
Those who travel with a big group might want to hire a shuttle bus from the airport to their destination. There are many shuttle bus companies which have small booths at the airport.
Another good option is to ask for a courtesy pick up by your hotel. Most hotels in Tulsa including Comfort Inn, Doubletree Downtown, Embassy Suites, Hilton Southern Hills, Holiday Inn and Marriott offer this service. Taxis are also available outside the entrance.
Parking at Tulsa International Airport
The airport features both short-term and long-term parking options in a garage as well as a surface parking lot. Most passengers choose to park their car at the garage car park which is located close to the terminal building. The garage provides both short-term and long-term parking.
From the surface car park, which is situated farther away, passengers can take a free shuttle service to the main terminal. Shuttle parking is also available at this parking lot. Disabled parking areas are located in both parking lots.
