Serving both US and international destinations, Sacramento International Airport is a lively gateway to the sunny Californian sunshine. The airport provides a number of flights operated by more than 12 major airlines. There are two main terminals at the airport, both equipped with good facilities for passengers.

ATMs and currency exchange services can be found throughout the airport. Among many facilities are medical facilities, a full-service post office and lost property services. Those traveling with children can always send their little ones to the children's play areas while they check out the rest of the airport.

Hungry tourists can find a variety of eateries. There are many fast food outlets, cafés, snack bars and a Chinese restaurant. For a wide range of food, take a tour around the food court located in Terminal B.

The Host International Hotel, situated within the same premise of the airport, features full on business facilities. Two conference rooms are provided, equipped with telephone, fax and internet services. The airport also boasts Wi-Fi internet access throughout both terminals.

Transportation at Sacramento International Airport

When in Sacramento, you should travel like a local by taking the renowned Yolobus, which is the most economical option of transport to go downtown. The buses leave the airport everyday and throughout the day.

Another option is to take the SuperShuttle, which is the main shuttle company at the airport. A shuttle is an ideal choice for those traveling in a big group and runs to various roués around the county of Sacramento. Other routes include El Dorado, Placer, San Joaquin, Yuba, Butte, Nevada and Yolo.

The cheapest way, however, is to ask for the courtesy pick-up from your hotel. This service is very popular as it costs nothing. You can also use courtesy telephone centres at the Baggage Reclaim Area if you haven't booked your shuttle once you are already at the airport. Taxis are aplenty at both terminals.

Parking at Sacramento International Airport

There are five car parks provided at the airport, which can serve up to 12,000 vehicles. You can choose from garage parking, hourly parking, daily parking, economy parking or disabled parking.

The multi-level garage is situated right opposite Terminal A, offering both short-term and long-term parking options. There are walkways that connect the garage to the terminal. The hourly parking lot can be found in front of Terminal B while the daily car park is to the south of Terminal B. The economy parking is the cheapest option provided at the airport.
