Nevada's second busiest airport, Reno-Tahoe handles more than five million passengers each year. A major gateway to the Tahoe ski region and other popular tourist destinations, the airport enjoys an ideal location to the southeast of Reno, boasting fully-equipped facilities for passengers.
ATMs and currency exchange booths are located throughout the airport concourses, in the baggage reclaim area and near the check-in counters. Travellers can also find several gift shops and newsagents throughout the terminal.
Those looking for something to eat will find a food court and many restaurants around the terminal. Passengers can find a wide range of eateries including fast food chains like McDonald's, popular cafés like Brew Brothers, Peet's Coffee & Tea and Ritazza Coffee.
The airport boasts various shops to ensure that passengers won't be left bored wandering around in the terminal. International Game Technology, Ponderosa Pines, Reno/Tahoe News & Gifts, The PGA Tour Shop and Travelmart are among the countless shops at the airport. If you travel with children, there is a gaming area on the first floor and in the departures concourse.
Conference facilities are not provided at the airport but business flyers can always head to the Best Western Airport Plaza Hotel nearby, which provides conference and meeting rooms with fully-equipped business amenities and Wi-Fi internet.
Transportation at Reno-Tahoe International Airport
Several transport options are provided at the airport to take passengers to downtown Reno and the major hotels. Public bus services run from the terminal building to many areas downtown and around the city. Buses are operated by CitiFare/CitiLift.
Those travelling within a big group can hire a shuttle bus or an airport minibus from the airport. Shuttle companies include both South Tahoe Express and Budget Chauffeur Drive. Airport Minibus can also be booked in advance by : +1 775 786 3700.
Taking a taxi to your hotel is probably the fastest way to get there. There are two main taxi companies operating taxis from the airport to hotels. The most economical choice is to ask for a courtesy pick-up from your hotel when booking your room.
Parking at Reno-Tahoe International Airport
Many parking options are available at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The main car park is the multi-story garage, which is connected to the terminal by walkways and lifts. Short-term and long-term parking lots are on offer at the garage.
Passengers with disabilities can find parking spaces in convenient spots. These designated spots are usually located near the entrances of the building.
