One of the busiest airports in the US, the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport comprises two terminals: the Hubert H Humphrey Terminal and the Lindbergh Terminal.
The Hubert H Humphrey Terminal mainly serves charter flights, while most of the domestic and international flights and handled on the five concourses of the Lindbergh Terminal. The two terminals are conveniently connected by a shuttle bus, in case your connecting flight is departing from a different terminal. Shuttle buses also operate from all car parks to the terminal buildings.
The Lindbergh Terminal features numerous shops and restaurants, while the Hubert H Humphrey Terminal offers more basic shopping facilities and eateries. Passengers who are looking for good variety in duty-free shopping will be pleased with what's on offer at the Lindbergh Terminal.
Those wishing to use business facilities will find the Pierson M Grieve Conference Centre in the Lindbergh Terminal to be well-equipped. The centre provides conference rooms, computers, and fax and photocopying machines. There are also self-service business centres available on request, which feature Internet-enabled workstations.
The airport provides a full range of facilities for passengers requiring special assistance. There are TDD phones and toilet facilities available, and the airport's shuttle buses are wheelchair-accessible.
Transportation at Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport
The airport operates door-to-door van services that will take you anywhere that can be reached within five hours. Fares depend on your destination and the distance involved. Booking in advance is recommended, to avoid delays.
There are also bus services from the airport to the centre of Minneapolis and St Paul, to the Minnesota Zoo and to the Mall of America - all provided by Metro Transit. Buses leave from the Ticketing Level of the Lindbergh Terminal.
Another transport option is to take a taxi to your destination. There's a taxi starter booth located above the Tunnel Level, near the parking ramp. All taxis are metered.
Parking at Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport
There are several parking options available at the airport, inlcuding hourly, daily and valet parking. All short- and long-term options are available at the parking lot that's close by the Lindbergh Terminal. Disabled parking spaces are also located near the terminal.
Those wishing to park for considerably longer periods will find remote parking available near the Hubert H Humphrey Terminal, in the 'Econolot.' Shuttle buses connect the remote parking lot to the terminal.
