Facilities at Memphis International Airport (MEM)

Memphis International Airport is located just 15 miles from the city centre. The airport is organized on three concourses (A, B and C), and offers a good range of facilities for passengers. During holiday seasons the facility is quite busy, as it is the closest hub to Graceland, of Elvis Presley fame.

Concourse A is dedicated to Delta Airlines flights, while Northwest Airlines dominates Concourse B. Concourse C handles services from both airlines, and a few others as well. There are no shuttle services to take you from one concourse to another and the walking time can be as long as 30 minutes.

There are a number of ATMs and banking services scattered around the airport. The main attraction at the airport is the Elvis Presley Graceland Gift Shop in Lobby B - which is always packed with tourists.

Apart from the Elvis shop, there's a range of other shops and outlets, and many restaurants and cafés throughout the terminal. A variety of local dishes are on offer at the Paddleboat Food Court.

Those wishing to use business facilities will find a full-service business centre located in the lobby. It is equipped with fax, photocopying and financial services and Internet connections. You can also opt for conference rooms which are availalble at the nearby Skyport Inn and the Radisson Airport Hotel.

A quicker way to reach your destination is to use the taxi service from the airport. Taxis are available from the stands adjacent to the baggage claim area. The airport is only five miles from Graceland and about 15 miles from the city centre.
