Offering easy access to many cities on the US-Mexico border, El Paso International Airport is one of the important airports in the region. The airport is a single-terminal, fully-equipped with a variety of facilities for passengers. Operating a number of flights to various US and Mexican destinations, El Paso is very popular with both tourists and business flyers.
Facilities are aplenty in El Paso International Airport. There are many currency exchange counters and ATMs scattered throughout the terminal. Those travelling with a laptop can also get an access to free Wi-Fi internet which is available anywhere in the building. Those wishing to use postal services can head to the Travelex corner near the information booth.
Shopping enthusiasts will be pleased to find many good shops in the airport. Galeria Del Sol offers some Southern handicrafts and terrific artworks for souvenirs for home while a few boutiques and a newsagent are good options to kill time while waiting to board.
Many cafés and restaurants can be found in the terminal, with the favourites being Mexican and southern dishes. There are also several fast food chains and ice-cream parlours to delight the children.
Business flyers can find limited business facilities provided at the Travelex including fax, photocopying, internet services and a meeting room. However, the Hilton and Marriott hotels nearby also offer extensive business amenities.
Transportation at El Paso International Airport
Travellers will be spoiled with a wide range of transport provided at El Paso International Airport. Many buses, including those operated by Sun Metro, link the airport to the city centre every day. This is the cheapest option to go downtown.
You can also take a commercial shuttle bus which travels to several destinations in and around the city. Shuttle buses need to be booked in advance before your arrival at the airport.
The airport also provides a free hotel phone bank located in front of the Baggage Claim area so you can also contact your hotel to arrange a courtesy shuttle. Otherwise, there are plenty of taxis waiting outside the terminal, ready to take you to your destination.
Parking at El Paso International Airport
Passengers can choose to use short-term and long-term parking at the airport. There are also extra parking lots provided during the holiday season, while those who have to park further away from the airport will be picked up by a free shuttle bus which connects all parking lots to the terminal building.
Many disabled parking spaces are available close to the terminal building and next to Airport Shuttle Bus stops at the short and long-term parking areas.
