One of busiest airports on the US eastern seaboard, Baltimore-Washington International Airport serves over 20 million passengers per year. It is located about 10 miles south of Baltimore, making it easy to get to the airport.

Getting to the airport is easy. Baltimore-Washington International Airport is well-connected to downtown Baltimore and Washington DC by bus, train and taxi. Those wishing to drive can find the terminal located off I-195.

Amtrak trains operate between the airport and Baltimore, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Alexandria and Wilmington, with frequent shuttle buses running from the station to the airport. Taxi stands are located outside the Baggage Claim area on the Lower Level and provide services between the airport and neighbouring areas.

Local buses connect the airport with various destinations including Baltimore, Columbia, Laurel, Odenton, Greenbelt (Washington DC), Glen Burnie, Calvert, St Mary's and Charles. Those wishing to travel to Baltimore or regional Maryland towns can find commercial shuttle services waiting outside the terminal building on the Lower Level.

Parking at Baltimore-Washington International Airport

There are many parking options at the airport, both covered and surface. Two parking garages cater to more than 10,000 vehicles, serving long-term and short-term parking, while the surface lots serve more than 20,000 vehicles.

All parking lots are monitored by CCTV surveillance and each parking area has designated spaces for disabled passengers. Shuttle buses are on hand to take you from the parking lots to the terminal.
