Denver Airport Parking (DEN)
Denver airport parking and information
Getting to Denver airport
Directions - To & From DIA - The airport is easily accessed by interstate highways and is conveniently located less than 35 minutes from downtown Denver by car, shuttle buses, public transportation or taxis.
Peña Boulevard is the primary route to Denver International Airport. The boulevard is accessible from Interstate 70 (Exit 284 eastbound, Exit 285 westbound), from Airport Boulevard, from Tower Road or from the E-470 toll road.
Dropping Off Travelers
Parking and Departing - Denver International Airport has numerous parking options - two five-level garages (including valet), two uncovered economy lots and two outlying shuttle lots. When driving to the airport on Peña Boulevard, watch for electronic roadway signs which display garage and economy parking availability.
As you approach Jeppesen Terminal, overhead roadway signs indicate which airlines operate from the east and west sides of the Terminal. REMEMBER: it will be more convenient to park on the side where your airline's ticket counters and baggage claim are located.
Curbside Drop-Off - If you are dropping off a passenger at curbside, follow the "Departures" signs to Terminal Level 6. Airline ticket counters are just inside the doors on Level 6 and overhead roadway signs indicate which airlines operate from the east and west sides of the Terminal. You may drive through and drop your passenger at the curbside location designated for their airline.
Picking-Up Travelers
Curbside Pick-up - "Arrivals" Level 4 alongside Jeppesen Terminal is designated as the passenger curbside pick-up area. Deplaning passengers who are to be picked up in a private car will collect their luggage at baggage claim on Level 5 and take an escalator or elevator down to Level 4. On this level, private cars are allowed to drive through and pick up passengers, but they may not park and wait at curbside.
Follow the signs on Peña Boulevard to Level 4 Terminal West or Terminal East, depending upon the airline. Overhead signs at curbside indicate the location designated for each airline. REMEMBER: cars may not park and wait at curbside for an arriving passenger. The passenger must be at curbside waiting for the driver. Any unattended vehicles will be towed immediately.
Options for picking up passengers include
Immediate curbside pick-up on Level 4 when the traveler has contacted the driver by phone and is waiting at curbside.
Delayed curbside pick-up when the driver has arrived early and is waiting in the 45-minute waiting area (located on Pena Boulevard) in anticipation of a phone call from the traveler indicating they are ready to be picked up at curbside on Level 4. NOTE: public telephones are not available in the 45-minute waiting area. You must use your personal cell phone to make contact with your passenger.
The 45-minute waiting area is just beyond the E-470 overpass on inbound Peña Boulevard. Vehicles may pull into the waiting area to wait for a passenger. When you make cell phone contact with an arriving traveler, arrange to meet at their airline door on Level 4 and then drive to the Terminal. For safety reasons, drivers must stay in their cars in the waiting area. There are no telephones or restrooms in the waiting area. If your vehicle is towed, call 303-342-4086.
Park and meet your DOMESTIC traveler inside Jeppesen Terminal. After parking, we suggest meeting on Level 5 of Jeppesen Terminal at either the fountain or at the appropriate baggage claim carousel. Due to increased security, only ticketed passengers or those with a demonstrated need may go to the airline gates. Demonstrated need must be arranged with the airlines, not the airport.
Park and meet your INTERNATIONAL traveler inside Jeppesen Terminal. After parking, you may meet your passenger on Level 5 North of Jeppesen Terminal at the International Arrivals Area. Arriving international passengers walk through an enclosed walkway to the Customs and Immigration Area and exit into the Terminal on Level 5.
